Our earnings pretty much go for the daily needs and we were worried about our Daughters future.We came to know about DDUGKY Project and Alayam Welfare Trust through Women Self Help Group and wefelt that this might be the right opportunity and accompanied our daughter to Chennai. When we came here the hospitality and the concern showed towards my daughter convinced us to leave her for 3 months to complete the training course. The Place is very secure and we would recommend for others like us. After completion of training she got agood Job with decent salary.Thanks to Alayam Welfare Trust and the Government which is helping our family in all means.

I am Malarvannan and my wife is Kamala. I do not have a stable job and go for whatever work is available for that time. Most of the time we used to face financial problems. My wife wanted to go for work. She has studied until 10th standard and she was not able to find a decent and stable job. We were finding it very hard to make both ends meet. One day my wife told me about the Skill Development Programs and Alayam Welfare Trust about which she heard from the women self help group. We wanted to know more and attended the mobilization meeting conducted by Alayam. We were very much happy and my wife joined the training program. Now she has a stable job and we are much happier than before.

I am daily waged Coolie and when my daughter was unable to continue her education always had the fear of her future. We get loans from Self Help Group and that is when we came to know about the DDUGKY training program that is conducted by Alayam Welfare Trust which is absolute free education, food, travel and accommodation. I was more than happy and travelled with my daughter to Alayam training center. The Alayam team arranged food and transport and ensured that we reached safe. My daughter was very much happy to join and whenever called me, she talks more about Alayam training and the cultural activities that is conducted, hostel facilities and she enjoys the food and hospitality. She has been placed and my family was overwhelmed when the first month salary was credited.
