I came to know about DDUGKY project through Women Self Help Group Meetings, Erode. I hail from a poor family hence was unable to continue my studies after 12th Std. However I understood the concept of placement linked skill development program which is conducted by the Government through Alayam Welfare Trust. I came to study without any second thought. I had good training, good stay and food. After completing my training I have got good placement with One Life. My entire lifestyle is now changed. Thanks to Alayam Welfare Trust and DDUGKY Program because of which I am able to support myself and my family

I have completed my 12th and thought I cannot study further due to my family situation. I got the pamphlet from our village panchayat office about the skill course and job offer. This is a government run program facilitated by Alayam Welfare Trust offering a free 3 months training course (DDUGKY) on nursing. The Trust provided transportation and I am now in Chennai, successfully completed my course and placed with Nightingale. I am now earning a monthly salary of Rs 9000/- and happy to work and feel blessed on my achievement. Thanks to Alayam.

I am Niveka from Vellore, completed my 12th Std and was assisting my mother in house hold work. I attended the Self Help Group Meeting and got information about Alayam Welfare Trust and DDUGKY Project where training on nursing course with Computer and English subjects for 3 months and Job opportunity. I convinced my parents and submitted necessary documents and travelled to Chennai. After completion of training I was placed with Portea and happily working supporting myself and family. I introduce myself as SreeDevi.M. I hail from a poor family. I was successful in completing my 12th Std and then had no choice rather than being at home. Like the light at the end of a tunnel I got the pamphlet from Alayam Welfare Trust about the Placement linked skill development program-DDUGKY conducted by Alayam Welfare Trust with free food and accommodation. As a very happy individual I convinced my parents and was eager to proceed. Couple of other girls from our own village joined me and we travelled with the assistance of Alayam Welfare Trust along with our parents to Chennai. I have got trained for three months with practical sessions, English & Computer which helped me get placed in an organization called One Life with a handsome salary. This truly has a positive note for me and my family. Thanks to Alayam Team.

Myself Selvi from Erode. I have completed my 10th Std and was unable to proceed further. Erode being a developing district it was hard for me to find any Job or to study further. I had no clue what to do next to help my family. Then one of my friends called and provided the information she received from Women Development Corporation about the Government Training Program by Alayam Trust and guaranteed job opportunity without any charges. My family was even thrilled to know that the travel from Erode, accommodation in Chennai and food were free. My parents accompanied me and we were all happy to see such a beautiful training institute in Chennai with all facilities. I was trained on the nursing course and got placed in Sirina Healthcare. Thanks to one and all for taking care of me and my family.

I am Paathmapriya, 28 years old. I come from a family with very poor economic background. I studied 10th standard and due to economic situation I couldn't continue my studies. After I got married my husband's wages was hardly enough to run my family. Then I came to know about Alayam Welfare Trust through my friend. We went to take a look at the training centre. I felt very comfortable with the way they explained things and treated us. I joined Alayam and successfully finished my training. Now I am earning good salary which is very supportive for my family. Myself Sasikala, from Singaperumal Koil. I am 30 years old and married. I always used to feel that I was not able to continue my education and help my family financially. One day one of the members from the women selfhelp help group approached me and explained about the Skill Development Programs offered by Government. I said I would like to join when Alayam employees approached me. They gave a detailed idea of the trainings offered and facilities available. I decided to join Alayam and my family readily sent me to attend the training. Today I have my job which has improved my level financially and made me feel contented.

Myself Arputhakithiyan from Thiruvanamalai. I am the first in my family and have 3 siblings. My parents are agricultural coolies with very low wages. Most of the time we used to face food scarcity. My parents sent me to school till 10th standard and after which they wanted me to help them and I started to feel depressed about this. I was asking people whom I know regarding any opportunities for better earning. People from Alayam Welfare trust approached me and explained about the skill development program and training offered. I convinced my parents that this is an opportunity not to be missed. They finally agreed and now I have my job in hand. I am earning far better than before. Now me and my family are so happy with our burden reduced to a great extent.

I used to be at home doing nothing and started feeling frustrated about life. One day casually I went to attend a meeting that was arranged by Alayam Welfare Trust from where I came to know about the skill development programs offered. I decided to just give it a try. When I came to the training centre I was really motivated and moved by the hospitality offered. They explained in detail about the training program and the benefits which created interest to learn. I finished my training and now have a good job and salary. Now I am a confident and contented person.
